Full set of pics for Alex J. O'Connor's talk in September "The Good Delusion" at Winchester Skeptics.
Here's the full set of pics for Cerys Bradley's talk at Pompey Skeptics in September: "A Unifying Theory of Gay" - same talk as at Winchester, but as with Pixie Turner recently, well worth hearing again.
Full set of pics for the latest talk at Winchester Skeptics: "Why Diets Don't Work - and Other Myths About Food and Health" (coincidentally the same talk and speaker as at Pompey Skeptics recently - but definitely worth hearing twice).
Continuing the catch-up with previous events, here's the full set of pics of Pixie Turner's talk at Pompey Skeptics on 11 July 2019: "Why diets don't work, and other myths about food".
Catching up with a previous event, here's the full set of pics for Paul Duncan McGarrity's talk at Winchester Skeptics on 25 July 2019:
This is the full set of pics for Dr Chris Fuller's Winchester Skeptics talk "See it - Shoot it : The secret history of the CIA's lethal drone program".
Here's the full set of pics for the National Secular Society's Secularism 2019 convention, which took place on Saturday 18 May at the Tower Hotel, London. (Click on the first image below to see all the images.)
The event included the Secularist of the Year award, presented by Geoffrey Robertson QC, to Saif ul Malook, the Pakistani lawyer who defended Asia Bibi in the face of death threats. Keith Porteous Wood also presented a Lifetime Achievement award to NSS Past President Barbara Smoker. (I took all these pics in an unofficial capacity from the audience, without flash, though I was fairly close to the front. The stage lighting, however, was not optimal to say the least, and consequently these images exhibit a fair degree of digital noise.)
These are the full set of pics for the 2019 Voltaire Lecture at Logan Hall, given by Dr Adam Rutherford: "The Return of Scientific Racism" — or as Dr Rutherford preferred to title it: "How to Argue with a Racist".
("Full set" should also be qualified. I was 45 minutes late for this lecture, so most of my pics are of the Q&A.)
You can watch a recording of the lecture here:
