Are rumours of imminent demise exaggerated?

This from Scott Bourne, who writes on his Picture Methods blog:

There have been lots of rumors floating around about Olympus. I am not now, nor have I ever been, a fan of the rumor sites. They trade in click-bait. It is unfortunate that they have so much sway. So I wanted to tell you that I have first-hand knowledge of and access to, Olympus’ plans regarding their camera division. This is not rumor. As an Olympus Visionary I am privy to things the rumor sites can only guess about. Normally, I am not permitted to discuss these things, but today, I have a green light to do so.
